My name is Chad. I'm a daily newspaper reporter based in Schenectady, who has battled depression since my teenage years. It's a plague that has devoured nearly every piece of my humanity over the years, but here I am, trying to write this about me section.

 

My 20s were full of suicidal ideations, and I finally acted on the idea just shy of 30. I survived and have been on the bumpy road to recovery ever since. Recently, I feel in love with comic books. The colorful pages and seemingly infinite cast of characters and stories have provided a much-needed distraction from my struggles as I continue done this path called life. 

 

My life has grown infinitely better in recent years, but I'm not going to pretend everything is great. I did that for years. It got me nowhere. I do, however, hope to provide an honest insight into my struggles and my new found passion. It may not always be cheery, but I promise to always be honest.
